Huff and Puff
Step into a world where wind becomes the wolf and fairy tales meet the fury of climate change. In Huff and Puff, Phillippa Egerton explores the fearsome force of extreme weather through the lens of one vulnerable building, drawing on the story of the three little pigs to personify nature’s power.
Alongside this climate-focused series, the exhibition features evocative depictions of animals, dystopian landscapes, and intimate domestic scenes — all delivered in Egerton’s signature style of wit, imagination, and quiet intensity.

PURE ARTS 360

Climate Change Series Exhibition runs to June 1st.

Battle"s Big Green Day is happening at the magnificent Norman church of St Mary's the Virgin in Battle and my Climate Change exhibition is in St Catherine's Chapel. This church was founded by Abbot Ralph about AD 1115. It is well worth a visit on its own merits. You can see where the crusaders blunted their swords before entering the church. There is also some medieval wall paintings, which include the devil being whipped.
The 18th May is a chance for the church to promote local green initiatives and selling goods such as art, recycled items and household items. There will be a series of talks throughout the day, as well as wellness walks , forest bathing, a raffle and cafe. I am booked to do a talk and to be honest, I am a trifle nervous but it has been a real revelation being involved with both having this exhibition opportunity as well as working with a group of people enthusiastic about improving their environment. It is all the local activities everywhere that will lead to changes. Below shows print/paintings on panels.
